CoolSculpting: What is it and Does it Actually Work?
Chances are by now you have heard of CoolSculpting if not from a friend’s experience possibly from social media. But what does it do and does it actually work? Here at Georgous Aesthetic Bar, we want to provide our patients with as much knowledge and information on any treatments performed in-clinic not only to help you prepare but to answer any questions or concerns you may have.
What is CoolSculpting?
CoolSculpting is a non-invasive fat-freezing treatment for stubborn subcutaneous fat. CoolSculpting uses cryolipolysis to freeze fat cells in the targeted treatment area that are then broken down and excreted from the body naturally.
How does it work?
Cryolipolysis is the freezing of fat tissue in order to destroy the fat cells that are then broken down and excreted from the body. Since fat freezes at a higher temperature than skin and other tissues, only the fat tissue is affected. It is a non-invasive and non-surgical procedure that does not require downtime.
What is a CoolSculpting treatment like?
After a patient is assessed by a CoolSculpting expert and a treatment plan has been determined the patient will be able to schedule their session(s). At the treatment an applicator is applied to the area(s) being treated. For a brief overview watch this quick video!
Does it actually work?
Yes! As long as the patient is a candidate for CoolSculpting determined by one of our CoolSculpting Experts, most patients see approximately a 20-25% fat reduction in the treated area.
How long does it take to see results?
Final results may not actually be seen until up to six months following the final treatment however many of our patients notice significant results between 30 to 90 days from the first or second treatment. See our results here!
Who is NOT a candidate for CoolSculpting?
Each patient will need an in-person and physical assessment by a CoolSculpting expert however there are a few contraindications for potential patients.
Patients are not a candidate if:
They have strong reactions to cold temperatures such as cryoglobulinemia, cold urticaria or paroxysmal cold hemoglobinuria
Have Raynaud’s Disease or poor blood circulation in the area of desired treatment

Are pregnant or breastfeeding
