Chemical Peels 101: What's the Difference?

Not every peel is a one-type-fits-all but how do you know which one you need and what the differences are? Our clinic offers a variety of chemical peels and can customize them to suit each patient’s need.

What chemical peels does GAB offer?

We offer a range of peels from no-peel peels to deep penetrating peels. These peels include VI Peels, ZO Stimulator Peel and PCA Peels.

No-Peel Peel

ZO Stimulator Peel

The ZO Stimulator Peel is a “lunchtime peel” meaning it’s a quick treatment with no physical peeling. Why else do we love it?

  • It can be added onto any facial

  • Has immediate results

  • There is little to no downtime

  • No physical peeling

  • Perfect for the patients that prefer no downtime right before a big event

  • Gentle enough for all skin types

  • Addresses texture, blemishes, congestion and gives an instant glow

  • Can also be stacked with other treatments

Quick Add-On Peel

 PCA Peels

PCA Peels offer a variety of peels to treat conditions such as acne and hyperpigmentation. These make the perfect step-up peel from the ZO Stimulator Peel! Why else do we love the PCA Peels?

  • Easy to customize for each patient

  • Minimal downtime from 3-5 days

  • Formulas for targeting pigment without hydroquinone

  • Safe for all fitzpatrick types

Advanced and Custom Peels

 VI Peels

If you’re ready to take the leap into more advanced peels the VI Peels are at the top.  Why do we love them?

  • Medium depth peel

  • Physical peeling from heavy sheet to moderate flaking for 5-7 days

  • Safe & effective for all fitzpatrick skin types

  • More customization available for patients skin concerns and needs

  • Treatments available for the body

  • Can also be stacked with other treatments, i.e. lasers, DiamondGlow, dermaplane

  • Little to no discomfort (put the mega fans away!)

  • Treats conditions/concerns such as acne, acne scarring, fine lines & wrinkles, age and sun spots, melasma, texture and tone

Winter and spring are generally optimal times to have a chemical peel due to patients have less sun exposure – but you still need to apply your SPF! When treating other conditions such as acne and texture chemical peels can be done year round with proper after care.
