BBL vs HALO Laser Treatments: What's the Difference?
Fall is upon us and that means it’s time for laser season! This time of year is common for patients to do laser treatments due to less risk of sun exposure than that during the summer. With ever growing technology and advancements it can be hard knowing what laser treatment is right for you – which is why we’re here to help!
Types of Lasers
Lasers for aesthetic purposes can be categorized into two groups: ablative and non-ablative lasers. Ablative lasers are a more aggressive treatment that vaporize the epidermal layer and generally require more downtime but come with typically more dramatic results. Non-ablative lasers target the dermis with controlled tissue injury that aids in skin resurfacing and stimulating collagen production with little downtime but typically needing more treatments than an ablative laser for comparable results.
